Synopsis
Heavy weather damage to passenger vessel.
Action taken:
The Chief Inspector of marine accidents has made the following recommendation to the owner/skipper of the vessel:

The lessons learnt from this accident should be promulgated through the issue of a MAIB Safety Digest article.

A Chief Inspector's letter should be sent to the classification society and shipbuilder bringing their attention to the failure of the bearing housings
