Summary

On 2 March 1999 cargo vessels Hoo Robin and Arklow Marsh collided on the River Trent. Hoo Robin’s master became concerned about an approaching Arklow Marsh and in his confusion attempted to cross the other vessel’s bow at the last minute. Hoo Robin struck Arklow Marsh’s starboard side and the collision caused damage to both vessels.
