Completed Preliminary Examinations
Preliminary Examinations were carried out in response to some accident reports between 2002 and 2010. They were deemed appropriate by the Chief Inspector in cases where, although inspectors had been deployed to an accident, interviews carried out and evidence gathered, the circumstances of an accident did not offer wider lessons for the marine industry. These summaries were published following a consultation period.
